Not as busy as it used to be. The State Troopers were being a bunch of dicks to anybody without front plates or plate covers so that turned a lot of people away.

front plate crackdown but an evo5 makes it in? they aren’t legal to import yet right?

They’re still 7 years away at least. From what I can see is he got around the front plate issue with having a Florida registration. My theory is he imported the car into Canada and then drove it down to Florida and re-registered it.
